Possible Incoming Scans - Description

<Back

This graph shows the number of local hosts which where probed and the number which responded. The number of probed hosts is actually the count of local addresses which were sent IP packets. Not all of these addresses are valid - only some correspond to actual computers.

People attempting to learn the addresses of actual computers will blanket your network with IP packets and note the responses. Such probes are visible on the graph as a large spike in the number of probed hosts, which may exceed the plot boundary.

The count of probed hosts is taken every 30 min.
